Atmospheric Electricity and
Edeloptics
Atmospheric electricity is the term used to refer to the regular daily variations of the
atmospheric electromagnetic network of the earth. Free electricity is always present in the clouds and in the air.
This free electricity acts upon the earth and electromagnetic devices through induction. The atmospheric medium
which surround us, contains not just combined electricity, similar to other forms of matter, but also a significant
quantity in an uncombined and free state; occasionally of one kind, occasionally of the other; however, as a
general rule, atmospheric electricity is always of the opposite kind to what the Earth has. The different layers of
the atmosphere are often found to be in varying electric states. There are three kinds of atmospheric electricity
phenomena: the electric phenomena of thunderstorms; the phenomena of continuous electrification on the air; and the
polar Aurora phenomena.
Atmospheric electricity is abundant in the environment. There are some traces of atmospheric electricity which are
found near the earth’s surface, about four feet from the surface. As it rises away from the surface, it becomes
more evident. The principal concept is that the air which is right above the earth’s surface is usually, during
good weather, positively electrified, it is at least positive with respect to the surface of the earth, which is
relatively negative. In addition to this, the presence of electrical action in the earth’s atmosphere, which is
because of the accumulation of massive static charges of current that is presumably generated by friction of the
air on itself, could account for the different kinds of phenomena of lightening and thunder storms. Some other
causes of electricity production in the atmosphere would include the evaporation from the surface of the earth, the
chemical changes that take place on the land surface, as well as the expansion, condensation and the variation of
atmospheric temperature and humidity.
Atmospheric electricity is just one of the environmental phenomena which cause a lot of other natural events.
Today, more and more environmental phenomena and issues are becoming causes for concern. It is important to make
ourselves prepared and protected and to be sure that we are doing our part in preserving nature and our
environment. One of the ways to protect ourselves would be by wearing quality sunglasses such as Yves Saint Laurent
sunglasses. You can buy quality and designer sunglasses from online stores such as Edeloptics.
